Our Story

Support the Manor Schoolhouse Foundation, Today!

Since the beginning of the pandemic, teaching has become tougher than ever. Across the U.S. and here in Central Texas, teachers are stretched to the absolute limit. Like nurses, their workloads have increased as they fill in for colleagues who are out ill. While many people have the ability to work from home, teachers don't. They keep at it -- risking their own health to make sure our young people get the best education possible. In the Manor community, just east of Austin, we are investing in our teachers.

We are The Manor Schoolhouse Foundation, a nonprofit whose mission is to spur innovation in classrooms in one of the Austin area's most economically challenged areas. When you invest in the Manor Schoolhouse Foundation, know that you are investing in the teachers who are giving everything during these unprecedented times.  The Foundation is working to support educators as they try new approaches to teaching students in the Manor Independent School District - building the NEXT generation of civic leaders and entrepreneurs. Your donations will allow us to increase the number of teacher innovative grants aligned with academic programs, project-based learning, fine arts, and more.

While the Austin area is known for economic growth, a lot of young people are at risk of being left out of the information economy. This is particularly true for Manor ISD with 9,320 students -78% who are Economically Disadvantaged, 80% At-Risk, and 44% Limited English Proficient. We humbly ask that you consider this opportunity to become an investor and make a positive impact in the lives of Manor ISD educators and students. No amount is too small. By donating, you'll be sending a strong message that public education matters more than ever today.
