This year, your donation to Amplify Austin directly supports the Good Work Austin Community Kitchen, an innovative program that ensures food-insecure individuals receive nutritious meals while also keeping local restaurants and their workers thriving. From now through Amplify Austin Day, every donation will be matched up to $2,500—doubling your impact!

Since launching in May 2020, the GWA Community Kitchen has delivered more than 2 million meals and reinvested over $10 million into local restaurants—helping them stay open, pay living wages, and continue serving our community. The demand continues to grow: just last month, the program distributed over $105,000 back into restaurants, a critical boost during a slow season for dining out.

Your support makes a real difference. The GWA Community Kitchen runs 365 days a year, providing breakfast, lunch, and dinner to those who need it most. These high-quality, nutritious meals offer dignity and stability to individuals and families in crisis. Half of participating restaurants say this program is essential to their survival.

Beyond immediate relief, this initiative strengthens our local food system, reduces food waste, and builds economic resilience for independent restaurants. It also ensures rapid meal distribution during emergencies, helping our community when it’s needed most.
